The 35th Coordination Meeting of the Road Safety Coalition Bangladesh (RSCB) was held on Monday, 22 June 2026, organized by the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh.
Professor Dr. Md. Abul Kenan, President of the Bangladesh Orthopaedic Society and Director of the National Institute of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation (NITOR), attended the meeting as the Special Guest.
During the meeting, participants reviewed the progress of the SMART advocacy action plan, focusing on the enactment of a Comprehensive Road Safety Law, speed management, increased helmet use, and effective media coverage and communication on road safety issues.
The meeting also assessed the implementation progress of previous decisions and discussed future work plans and priority initiatives to advance road safety advocacy in Bangladesh.
The meeting was chaired by Professor Dr. Khondker Abdul Awal Rizvi, President of the National Heart Foundation of Bangladesh, and was attended by representatives of the member organizations of the Road Safety Coalition Bangladesh.
